Our estates

Our estates are located in strategic regions of Argentina, with complementary production profiles.

In the Famatina Valley, La Rioja, and in Coronel Dorrego, Buenos Aires Province, our olive estates share the same integrated production model, focused on producing extra virgin olive oil with the highest international standards. The combination of both regions allows us to diversify climate risks and ensure superior and consistent quality in every harvest.

UNIÓN AGRARIA S.A. also owns an agricultural estate in Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe, located in one of the main productive areas of the Pampas region, dedicated to traditional agriculture and forming part of the project’s overall development.

In the heart of the Famatina Valley lies our main production hub, with more than 1,500 hectares planted and an annual production of nearly 2,500 tons of extra virgin olive oil.

The valley’s natural conditions — thermal amplitude, mineral soils, and a dry climate — allow us to obtain stable oils with a high sensory profile. The production system is designed to maximize efficiency, quality, and sustainability through:

  • Controlled drip irrigation
  • Large-scale operations
  • Integrated crop management

Olive mill
at the foot
of the grove

The Famatina industrial plant is strategically located at the foot of the olive grove, integrated into the production system and designed to operate at origin. This location allows the olives to be processed just hours after harvest, reducing time and transportation while preserving the fruit’s freshness and properties to the fullest.

The synchronization between mechanized harvesting and immediate milling is part of our operational standard and ensures fresher, more stable oils with a superior sensory profile, aligned with the highest international standards.

As a result, we achieve a fresher, more stable oil with superior sensory quality.

Our estate in Coronel Dorrego is part of a strategy of growth and geographic diversification. The region offers a temperate climate, light soils, and a strategic logistical location due to its proximity to the port of Bahía Blanca.

It currently has 230 hectares planted, with plans to expand to 500 hectares by 2029, together with the construction of a processing plant located at the foot of the olive grove.

Its conditions favor the production of oils with:

  • High oleic acid content
  • Greater stability and shelf life
  • A distinctive sensory profile

Hedgerow cultivation

We work under a hedgerow cultivation system, which organizes the olive groves in continuous and uniform rows, facilitating efficient mechanized harvesting and precise control of the process.

This system allows us to:

  • Optimize operational timing
  • Reduce the interval between harvest and milling (less than 8 hours)
  • Preserve natural aromas and antioxidants

It is integrated into a sustainable management approach with automated drip irrigation and responsible use of resources.

Varieties

We select varieties adapted to the intensive system and the desired quality profile:

KORONEIKI – ARBEQUINA
ARBOSANA – OLIANA

Early harvest

Early harvest is a strategic decision.

It takes place when the olive has not yet reached full ripeness and retains its maximum potential of antioxidants, aromas, and flavor.

Although it results in a lower oil yield, the outcome is a product of greater quality, intensity, and freshness, with a defined sensory profile and greater stability, consistent with our production standards.

A production model based on full value chain integration, proprietary infrastructure, and efficient processes that ensure quality and support a modern, sustainable, and scalable production oriented toward international markets.

The agricultural estate in Venado Tuerto, Santa Fe, is part of the group’s productive origins and of a strategy for sustained development in the Pampas region, one of the most productive agricultural areas in the country.

The region offers fertile soils, favorable climatic conditions, and an ideal environment for large-scale traditional agriculture. Within this context, agricultural activity is carried out across 5,000 hectares, with an approximate annual production of 45,000 tons, mainly wheat, soybeans, corn, and barley.

UNIÓN AGRARIA S.A., with more than 50 years in agriculture, drives the group’s growth through experience, innovation, and a strong productive foundation.
